There were times in the history of YC "Shelter" when art classes were very popular. We wrote about it earlier and showed beautiful works in the form of paintings painted with various techniques, including those painted with acrylic paints on canvas. We also presented interesting works made with the use of colorful Pyssla beads. Not every group of club members showed artistic preferences. A few months ago, art activities were spontaneously initiated. The resulting paintings were painted with acrylic paints on canvas. Due to the fact that so far several authors have done a lot of work, we decided to organize a small exhibition. The pictures are presented in the picture on the right. It should be added that this is not all the work done during these few months. It should also be mentioned that artistic projects are made with the use of Pyssla beads. Moreover, thanks to the activity of the art group, the club rooms were decorated with beautiful chains made of colored tissue paper.

In the period before Easter, on April 12, 2022, the Easter Table Football Tournament took place.A mixed group of players, both boys and girls, joined the competition.The tournament was held as a single version, in the "everyone with everyone" system.As usual in YC “Shelter”, the spirt of sportsmanship took place.People who have recently started playing table football had the opportunity to learn from experienced players.The favorite of the tournament was Dominik Wysocki, who won all his matches and won the first place.Natalia Borysewicz was not inferior to him, taking second place.The third place went to Damian Urbaniak.The tournament winners received statuettes and sweet prizes.The other players received sweet gifts.

The devastating war in Ukraine has been going on for 37 days. About 2,500,000 Ukrainians, our neighbors, crossed the Polish-Ukrainian border fleeing the aggression of the Russian invaders. About 1,000,000 of them went further to other European countries, the rest decided to stay in Poland. Every day we watch on TV pictures of bombed towns and villages, murdered innocent people, children, women and old people. We also hear tragic reports from refugees speaking on television. We are also moved by the stories of refugees we met personally in Białystok and Narewka. Our hearts are full of pain and disbelief that such atrocities man can do to man for no reason.

We decided to join in helping Ukrainians experiencing the trauma of war. Our great friends from the USA, namely from the Grace Baptist Church in Richmond, also joined this work. They provided funds that allow us to buy the necessary things to Ukrainian refugees, as well as to Ukrainians in the bombed Ukraine. We do it with joy and we treat it as a joint effort to help Ukrainians who find themselves in a tragic situation.

FIFA 20 Winter Tournament

The first tournament in 2022 was on February 22.It was the FIFA 20 Winter Tournament. 8 players took part in the competition.The tournament had two phases, group and cup competition.In the first phase, the players competed in two groups.The people who finished in the first two places in the group advanced to the cup stages.It was the semi-final.The winners of the matches went to the final.Daniel Kotyński became the champion, and Dawid Szabuńko took the second place.Patryk Pod won the match for the third place.The winners were presented with prizes.The other players received sweet gifts.
